China's Textile and Garment Exports Grow 17.6% in Jan-Feb 2026

Beijing, March 10, 2026 – According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on March 10, China's textile and garment exports achieved rapid growth in the first two months of 2026, driven by factors such as the stable Sino-US trade relations, the late Spring Festival and the low export base in the same period last year. In US dollars, the total export of textile and garment from January to February reached 50.45 billion US dollars, an increase of 17.6% year-on-year. Broken down by category, textile exports reached 25.57 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.5% year-on-year, while garment exports reached 24.87 billion US dollars, an increase of 14.8% year-on-year. In RMB terms, the total export of textile and garment was 355.04 billion yuan, an increase of 15.2% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports were 180.01 billion yuan, an increase of 18%, and garment exports were 175.03 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4%. Industry analysts pointed out that the continuous recovery of the global economy and the increasing demand for high-quality textile products are important driving forces for the growth of China's textile and garment exports. At the same time, the continuous optimization of China's textile industry structure and the improvement of product competitiveness have also laid a solid foundation for export growth. It is expected that China's textile and garment exports will maintain a steady growth trend throughout 2026 with the further recovery of the global market.
